Tuesday Truths October 14, 2025
People often ask me, “Michele, where do you get your inspiration to write and create the programs you do?”
My answer? I find Inspirations – From real life. Real people. Real situations.
Every book I’ve written has been born out of lived experience — mine and others’.
📘 The Joy of Movement began as a 7-day passion project challenge and turned into a celebration of the power of movement in mind, body, and spirit.
It’s all about aging with AGE-GILITY — my trademarked philosophy — and building the confidence to live vibrantly at every stage of life.
📙 The Complete Women’s Guide to Retirement came from my own pivot — stepping away from a long, successful career into a new chapter of purpose and passion.
Therefore, I wrote this book for every woman who’s ever wondered, “What’s next for me?” who am I if not a (fill in the blank), and discovered that retirement is not an ending, but a powerful new beginning, with many true stories of encore careers that I wrote about
📗 My newest, The Power of a Growth Purpose System: Create a GPS Roadmap for Your Life’s Journey, aligns your goals, values, and purpose for every decade of life.
I even trademarked the GPS concept — because it’s more than a metaphor; it’s a framework to help others navigate their next chapter with direction, clarity, and joy.
And what’s coming next?
Well, my next book is for women who want to ease into exercise safely at home — to gain strength, flexibility, and balance before diving into a gym or group class. Especially those recovering from joint replacement or those who are recently retired and beginning a self-care journey.
The idea was sparked by two women (my age!) who joined a high-intensity Body Pump class and were totally unprepared for that level of movement. I felt their struggle — and their courage — deeply.
Because let’s be honest, I’m tired of seeing flashy promises on FB, Instagram, in books, and in programs like “Lose 28 pounds and 28 inches in 28 days!”
Really? If that worked, we’d all be supermodels by now!
What we truly need are routines designed for real people, in real time, for real life — that meet us where we are, and help us move forward, one step at a time.
So where do I find my inspiration?
Everywhere!
Life itself inspires me — the people I meet, the conversations I have, the stories I hear, the courage I witness.
I find inspiration in everyday experiences that remind me that growth doesn’t stop — it simply evolves.
As Albert Einstein said, “Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance, you must keep moving.”
👉 Ready to find your own spark of inspiration?
Keep moving forward — one step, one story, one joyful moment at a time.
And that, my friends, is the heart of living with AGE-GILITY. 💫
