Gremlins Attack and Links Break, but Passion Perseveres even with the trials and tribulations of not being tech-savvy!
Ah, the golden years! Or what I like to call the SILVER years, a time when most people kick back, relax, and reminisce about the good old days.
Not me! I decided to dive headfirst into the wild world of online webinars.
After all, who wouldn’t want to share a lifetime of wisdom with the world?
However, little did I know the journey would be filled with enough trials and tribulations to make a seasoned tech guru weep.
First, there was the webinar creation. I poured my heart and soul into it, spending months painstakingly piecing together a free online webinar that would knock the socks off anyone lucky enough to stumble upon it.
And let me tell you, it wasn’t easy! The tech part was a constant battle. Progression, not perfection, right?
Fast forward to today, when I’m finally ready to invite the masses to join me on this digital adventure. All I need to do is send out some links. Easy-peasy, right? Ha! If only.
Imagine me, hunched over my computer, squinting at the screen through my trusty bifocals. I copied the link, pasted it into an email, and hit send. Seconds later, my phone started buzzing. My neighbor called to ask why I sent her a puppy video link.
However, excitedly, I accidentally copied the link to my favorite YouTube channel. Whoops! After fixing that little mishap, I sent the correct link—or so I thought.
The next round of calls came from friends saying the link was broken. Broken? I double-checked everything, and it was flawless!
Except, of course, maybe a little typo, and the whole thing came crashing down like a house of cards.
But the pièce de résistance of my technological torment is the gremlin in my first video. Of course, it’s not a literal gremlin, but it might as well be.
The recording was fine on my end; however, in the sent versions, there’s a random noise that sounds like a chipmunk on a sugar rush.
I’ve tried everything—texting support, re-recording, editing, praying to the tech gods—but nothing works. That gremlin is here to stay.
Oh……worries me.
But I remind myself: it’s about progression, not perfection.
So, what if there’s a rogue gremlin in my video? Maybe it adds character. Maybe it’ll go viral as the quirky webinar with the unexpected guest star.
Despite all the tech troubles, broken links, and unexpected gremlin cameos, I’m not giving up. I’m passionate about what I do, and I know that somewhere out there, someone will appreciate my hard work.
So, if you get a link from me, please click it (and forgive any typos).
If you hear a strange noise in the video, smile, nod, and pretend it’s all part of the plan. And if you find a puppy video in your inbox, enjoy it on me.
Here’s to the joys of learning and growing, regardless of age. Let’s embrace the gremlins and keep pushing forward.
After all, it’s all about progression, not perfection.
If you excuse me, I have another link to fix it before you can see it!
Hopefully, it will be on my website, too, at https//michelerase.com
Cheers to having a better day than me, and until next time……Trust your Truths and live with AGE-GILITY!
Bye for now!
