Tuesday Truths – “August is National Wellness Month”
August 16, 2022
In August, we are celebrating National Wellness Month!
As you know, I speak and coach on self-care, stress management, and the promotion of healthy routines. So, I’m ready to CELEBRATE YOU & ME in National Wellness Month!!
The “7 – Dimensions of Wellness”: All are interdependent and influence each other. What we aspire to is BALANCE.
- Mental – calmness, being present in the moment, setting boundaries, knowing when to say yes & no.
- Physical – exercise, digestion, sleep
- Social – Friends, community, volunteerism
- Financial – being comfortable
- Spiritual – believing in something greater than
- Environmental – home, family
- Vocational -career, purpose
Making healthy habits a……. part of your daily routine for the ENTIRE month of August will make you feel better and empower you to make healthy choices for the rest of the year and the rest of your life!
Small changes can make a significant impact. Just for review of topics I have discussed:
- Increase water hydration
- Getting more fruits and vegetables in your diet
- Get better sleep
- Get moving by walking, yoga, dance
- Practice self-care
- Practice mindfulness/meditation
- Get you Sunshine Vitamin D & Breath
I challenge you to do one or all these things for the rest of the month!
My wellness journey and CELEBRATION started at the beginning of the month when I went to San Diego for my Health Coach Institute’s “Master’s Coach Retreat.”
It was an incredible three-day event with a tribe of like-minded individuals, excellent healthy food, and just plain fun to “own our CRAZY!”
I then rounded out the week, spending time with my California girlfriends, celebrating our 70th birthdays, and Living Our Best Lives with AGE-GILITY!
Going back to the event, for a moment, I wanted to share the theme “Dare to be Seen and Heard.” Where else to break through the core fear of putting yourself out there with like-hearted people like yourself?
It was in a safe environment with no judgment or criticism of what was being said.
Here was the perfect opportunity to work on “ME” and my mental wellness journey.
I was enlightened and creative and came up with many awesome ideas I could implement in my coaching. But first, I want to share with you that I worked on my Signature System for what I do.
The “3 Main Results”, but not limited to, in my Coaching Programs, are:
- The empowerment to flow through the changes that “life throws you.”
- Gaining personal confidence in Mind, Body, and Spirit to make the changes, and
- How to find new passions to pursue the next decade of your life.
The “5-Simple Steps” for SUCCESS for Lasting TRANSFORMATION are:
- Mindset – Wanting to make the change
- Acceptance – Willing to do the work
- Ownership – Of the problem, and that you CAN make the necessary habit changes
- Enlightenment – Learning the HOW, WHAT, and WHY for change
- Action – Doing the work for guaranteed results.
There it is, “short and sweet” rolled up into a nice little package!
If anything resonates with you or you know someone who may, please share this video with them!
Practicing healthy daily habits enables you to attain better physical and mental health outcomes, so instead of surviving, you are THRIVING!
Health is a state of being, whereas wellness is a state of living a healthy lifestyle. Wellness aims to enhance total well-being.
“Wellness encompasses a healthy body, a sound mind, and a tranquil spirit. Enjoy the journey as you strive for wellness”.

Until next week, celebrate National Wellness Month for yourself and for those you love and TRUST YOUR TRUTH and live with AGE-GILITY!
