Where did the month of January go? Do you find that the older you get, the faster the time flies?
How are your New Year intentions going?
If you are still struggling, your “Limiting Beliefs” may be holding you back.
Our limiting beliefs can stop us from reaching our goals, reaching our full potential, or just growing.
There are “4” Core limiting beliefs:
- Health
- Relationships
- Money
- Work/Career
We can learn where they are and how to identify them.
10 Common Limiting Beliefs:
- I’m not good enough……
- I’m too old or too young……
- I don’t have enough time…..
- I am not smart enough……
- I don’t have enough experience…….
- I’ll never be successful……
- I don’t have enough money……
- I will never be one of the best……
- I’m not talented enough…….
- I’ll never have a happy life……
All these types come from the place of FEAR, Imposter syndrome, and the Past, which we ALL experience at one time or another.
This fear can keep us safe for a time …… but can prevent NEW positive beliefs from forming. Fears’ starts at a very young age and evolve over time.
These can be in your conscious mind (your thoughts and stories) or your unconscious mind (controlling your success in ALL areas of your life.)
The unconscious mind is very powerful. It can work for you or against you.
Knowing the cause of your limiting beliefs is a great way to understand their thought processes. In addition, some techniques can be implemented to overcome fear and childhood stories.
Stories you told yourself have stayed with you over the years. These stories you told yourself made you see the world through a particular lens.
That lens you’ve been looking through has created the results you see today.
Shift Your Mind, and You’ll Shift Your Life
It’s time to change that lens you’ve been looking through.
It’s time now to shift your thinking and beliefs.
A repeated positive affirmation can turn a self-limiting belief into a positive self-belief for any of the Core Beliefs of Health, Money, Relationships, or Work/Career.
For example, “I’m not good enough to be loved,” you “reframe” the belief by reassuring yourself, “I am a good and lovable person and have a lot to offer.”
“Reframing” is how you can look at everyday challenges and train your mind to see the positive rather than the negative.
One of my favorite techniques, “Tapping,” works well for these and everyday stress!
Tapping is an Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) using the meridian points, like acupuncture or acupressure, and repetitiveness.
The latest evidence-based research in Neuroscience has shown that you CAN reprogram your mind through repetition.
Your mind is like a computer. You are upgrading your “mental software.” Eventually, you will automatically begin to think this way naturally.
Most important……never give up when limiting beliefs creep in. Remember, you are not alone.
Everyone experiences this, even leaders and others we admire.
BELIEVE in yourself, and you will be UNSTOPPABLE!
