March 7, 2023
I hope you are celebrating Woman’s Month, Week, and International Women’s Day!
Tomorrow March 8th is International Women’s Day, celebrated in the US, Australia, and the UK.
Google is centered on the theme of #EmbraceEquility, to recognize the contributions and support women-owned businesses and nonprofit organizations.
It’s also the time to celebrate You and Me and all the amazing women in our lives!
Let’s take a moment to recognize these women…. you too, guys!
In last year’s Tuesday Truths, I gave the history of this celebration. You can go back to my blogs at michelerase.com to check that out.
As we honor the contributions of women and embrace equity in 2023, don’t forget to celebrate and embrace yourself.
Today I would like to talk about the most important woman in your life, and that is YOU!
“Remember, if you can dream it, you can do it; you can be it!”
It is about a mindset, about your health or life.
You can start by waking up each day with a five-second-deep breath, a GRATITUDE statement, and a smile. This 10-second ritual can nourish your entire body and significantly impact how you see the world and the upcoming day.
Suppose this doesn’t start your day on the right foot. Try looking in the mirror and using the “I” word to use these affirmations!
- I am amazing.
- I am creating the life of my dreams.
- I will surround myself with people who love and appreciate me.
- I love and value myself.
- I can change the world with my actions.
- I set healthy boundaries to protect my well-being.
“What a precious privilege it is to be alive – to breathe, to think, to enjoy, to love.”
~ Marcus Aurelluis~
If this sounds a little cray… cray, don’t knock it until you try!
It is part of the “self-fulfilled prophecy” of what you believe or expect will happen…… will influence your behaviors and either negatively or positively affect your actions and outcomes.
Again, this can be a mindset change that brings YOU to your REALITY because of your ACTIONS.
So, celebrate your accomplishments, no matter how small!
Other activities and ideas to recognize Woman’s History month according to Google:
- Watch a documentary about woman’s rights….
- Read books about woman’s rights…
- Add some new podcasts to listen to…
- Watch TED talks by woman leaders…
- Learn some Women’s History Month stories…
- Learn more about the history of women’s health…
Why IS it essential to celebrate Woman’s Day?
Well…..“It is time to reflect on the progress made…… call for change…..and to celebrate acts of courage and determination by ordinary women….. who have played an extraordinary role in our history.”
I want to leave you with this wish for International Woman’s Day to all the strong, intelligent, talented, and simply incredible women in my life.
You are loved and appreciated and have untapped potential!
Until next week remember, “She is a Dreamer, she is a doer, she is an achiever, and she is “YOU!”
Happy Women’s Day, and Trust your Truth!
Bye for now!
