April is Stress Awareness Month!
Episodes of acute stress can sometimes be helpful. However, Chronic stress ages us inside and out.
So, let’s discuss how it affects our skin. The skin is the largest organ we have.
Skin is unique in many ways. No other organ demands so much attention and concern for disease and health.
The Function of Skin is:
- Working Barrier to protect against water loss as a physical barrier and chemical barrier against injury and bugs, allergens, toxins, and carcinogens.
- Regulating Temperature by dilating and constricting blood vessels by regulating cooling with sweating and insulating for heat loss.
- Protection from UV radiation by producing melanin.
- Giving us the “sense of touch,” providing interaction with physical surroundings, and allowing fine and gross motor skills and pleasure.
- When sun exposure, Vitamin D may help prevent osteoporosis, cancer, heart disease, obesity, and neurological diseases. In addition, it helps reverse the aging process.
- Wound healing Process – Consists of Four Integrated & Overlapping Phases:
- Hemostasis
- Inflammation
- Proliferation
- Tissue Remodeling or Resolution
- (Gosain & DiPietro 2004)
- Personal Confidence – the quality and condition of your skin dramatically contributes to the perception of health, wellness, youth, and beauty!
The good news is that managing stress with stress-reducing techniques can help block the accelerated age effects.
And the BEST part is that these positive effects may cross over to the SKIN, where they may be obvious!
In addition to stress-reducing techniques, the Key to Good Skincare is consistency and daily routine.
It is worth taking care of your skin because you’ll wear it every day of your life! But unfortunately, you only get one skin!
Our skin changes as we age, so we should update our regimen and products.
Here is a Twice Day Four-Step Basic Routine for smooth, radiate, and youthful skin:
- Cleanser – to remove makeup & impurities.
- Clarifying Toner – wraps up the cleansing process to penetrate the skin’s surface to clean & close the pores to exfoliate and gently prep skin for the next step.
- Serums – for extra hydration. It will pull moisture from the air to hydrate continually throughout the day. You can even layer serums in targeted areas. But, again, DO NOT SKIP THIS STEP.
- Good Anti-Aging Moisturizer – daily and long-term use with tackle the signs of aging so that skin becomes firmer, smoother, and more radiate and fine lines and wrinkles appear less defined.
Don’t forget to hydrate and moisturize the delicate skin around your eyes to firm up this precious skin and enhance cell renewal around the eyes!
For BEST results, follow the correct order for the products recommended for your skin type and problem.
Using a Premium moneyback-guaranteed Skincare Product is worth the investment ……. to look and feel your best every day.
