The last few weeks have been a beautiful reminder that life does not always move in a straight line, and choosing kindness and patience is a time for pause in the wait.
Sometimes it comes in waves—creative projects, full calendars, unexpected delays, and then those little moments when worry starts whispering, “What if this doesn’t work out?”
I have been working on the cover design for my newest book and have found myself feeling anxious when the designer does not respond to the requested changes as promptly as I had hoped.
My mind started racing. Was something wrong? Why was I being put off? This delay will hold up publishing!
Then I had to pause and remind myself of something important: I have no idea where in the world he lives, what time zone he is in, or what challenges he may be facing in this wild world.
That pause, that thought taught me patience.
It reminded me that behind every email, message, project, or delay is another human being with a life we may know nothing about.
So instead of jumping to conclusions or feeling frustrated, I am choosing grace.
Richard Carlson said it beautifully:
“Choose being kind over being right, and you’ll be right every time.”
What a powerful truth.
Living with AGE-GILITY means learning how to flow through the unexpected with presence, patience, and compassion.
It means honoring our own bandwidth while remembering that others have capacity too.
So, today’s reminder is simple:
Breathe before you react.
Pause before you assume.
Choose kindness… before being right.
Because sometimes the delay is not the problem. Sometimes the delay is the lesson. 💛
Today’s Tuesday Truth: Patience is not passive. It is grace in motion.
Stay tuned for my newest edition to my “Age-Gility Vibrancy Book” Series!
Bye for now!
