š Tuesday Truths September 9, 2025 š
This past weekend was all about giving back to my local community and sharing my fundraising skills, with my gift of “gab” for the greater good of my community.
First upāthe Pluta Cancer Center Foundationās 26th Annual Emerald Ball. I found myself in a new role as the head volunteer for the Pluta Experience (ha-ha, I’m still not sure if it was a promotion or if I talk too much and they decided to put me in charge š). But regardless, it was a joy to support such an essential and growing organization that is making a significant impact on cancer patients in our area. https://www.urmc.rochester.edu/cancer-institute/location/pluta
Then came a first for me: I became a beer cart girl at the 8th Annual Rochester Press Radio Golf Tournament. šŗš
The mission? I traded my comfort zone by not asking for tips, but instead, donations for childrenās charities across Rochester. Asking for money donations isnāt easyāitās actually one of my personal challenges. https://www.pressradio.org
But hereās what I learned: when youāre passionate and aligned with a purpose, even the uncomfortable things we do can be fun and an opportunity to meet other like-minded individuals. It’s these shared experiences and connections that make community service so rewarding.
Stretching ourselves can open new doors and have a ripple effect outward for the greater good. The impact of our work, no matter how small it may seem, can be significant and life-changing for those we serve.
And Iām not stopping there.
This coming weekend, Iāll be attending Angel of Mercyās Denim and Diamonds Gala, a dear friend’s powerful Christian organization that renews and transforms the lives of women and girls who have faced human trafficking and abuse.
From offering a free clothing boutique to the Dress a Girl Around the World program for high-risk young girls. When little girls are dressed in a cute manner, they are less likely to be trafficked. https://www.angelsofmercynewyork.org
This work is nothing short of life-changing. šš
⨠Hereās my Tuesday Truth: We all have giftsāour time, talents, energy, voices, even our willingness to try something new.
When we share those gifts with our community, not only do we grow, but we also help others shine. Together, we can make a difference.
So Iāll leave you with this question:
š How can you share YOUR gifts to make your community a better place for all?
Until next week, live with AGE-GILITY, and I will leave you with this quote.
āWhen you are enthusiastic about what you do, you feel positive energy. Itās very simple.ā ~Paulo Coelho https://share.google/wJp3ZvR0h1E6fJLvX.
Bye for now!
