Inflammation is your body’s way of saying, “Hey, something’s wrong!” It’s the natural response to injury or invaders like germs (that we have been aware of for centuries), helping your body heal and making you feel better in the long run.
But what happens when your body sets off this alarm without a real threat?
Is it friend or foe? That’s when inflammation becomes the enemy, contributing to various chronic conditions.

In my case, the tipping point was eczema and even a breakout of hives!
I tried topical cortisone creams, but they weren’t a lasting solution. And I certainly didn’t want to turn to oral medications.
That’s when I chose a Functional Medicine approach, focusing on healing my gut and reducing inflammation from the inside out.

Along with supplements and the guidance of a professional, I went all-in with an extensive blood workup, coaching, and personalized recipes.
It’s funny because, as a wellness advocate, I already knew how to eat healthily. I have taken Functional Nutrition courses. I’ve always believed that “You are what you eat” and that “Whole Food/Clean Eating/Non-GMO/Organic is Medicine!”
But sometimes, it’s more than just knowing. I needed the structure and motivation only a professional could provide.
I’m now in week one of a 90-day program for Metabolic Repair of “clean eating.” No alcohol and a one-week detox is coming up in week three.
I’m determined. Those extra pounds I have been struggling with for months have already started to come off, my skin is healing, and most importantly, I feel empowered by my progress.
It’s not just about food; it’s about a positive mindset and determination to improve my overall health. I WILL do the work and won’t sugarcoat it—it is work!
